Biology is a fascinating science, and simply put, it is the study of living things and how they interact with each other and the environment. There could not be a better time than now to be exploring the biological sciences!. At the Department of Biological Sciences, we offer a wide range of programs that are diverse and unique. Our undergraduate programs include Zoology, Botany, Biochemistry, and Microbiology.
We also offer MSc. program in Microbiology and are soon launching the Botany and Zoology programs. Our staff is dedicated to quality teaching, training and cutting-edge research within our lecture halls and laboratories and through hands-on fieldwork and industrial attachments. Our staff is also keen on training and mentoring the next generation of biological scientists who will take this science to greater heights.
Graduates from the Department have been employed in various industries, national and international research institutions, health institutions, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, government departments as well as in non-governmental organizations.
